Acceptable Use Policy - Managed Linux Hosting

1. Introduction This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of the managed Linux hosting services provided by Townsend Consulting Services ("TCS"). By using our services, you agree to comply with this AUP.

2. Prohibited Content Users are strictly prohibited from hosting, transmitting, or storing:

  • Illegal or fraudulent content.
  • Content that promotes hate, violence, discrimination, or any form of harassment.
  • Pornographic or obscene material.
  • Content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others.

3. Prohibited Activities Users are not allowed to engage in activities that:

  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful software.
  • Conduct phishing or other fraudulent activities.
  • Send unsolicited bulk emails or spam.
  • Attempt unauthorized access to other networks or systems ("hacking").
  • Overload our infrastructure by intentionally distributing or hosting malicious software or participating in DDoS attacks.

4. Code Review and Approval

  • All code intended for hosting on our servers must undergo a thorough review by TCS.
  • TCS reserves the right to deny hosting for any code that poses a security risk or violates this AUP.

5. Resource Usage

  • Users must ensure that their activities do not consume excessive server resources or disrupt the services for other users.
  • TCS reserves the right to limit, suspend, or terminate services for users who misuse resources.

6. Compliance with Laws

  • Users must ensure that their use of TCS hosting services complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection and copyright laws.

7. Reporting Violations If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to us through our Quote Request Form.

8. Enforcement

  • TCS reserves the right to take appropriate action against any user who violates this AUP, including suspension or termination of services, without notice.
  • TCS may also cooperate with law enforcement agencies regarding any alleged violations.

9. Changes to AUP TCS may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Users will be notified of any significant changes.
